camera angles
I have used many match on action shots, in which the main character Michael walks through a building/door, these shots are very vital to the storyline, because it shows how he gets from different locations continuously.

update
I have almost finished my short film, I have at least 5 more scenes that need to be shot, although right now the video is around 6 minutes long, and i need to shorten it somehow.

pictures from editing
In this first image, I have shown when the soundtrack 'Golden Years' begins, and the shot in which the song will start is where Michael is walking out of the hospital. I tried to make it look conventional and used intertextuality with the opening scene in 'Saturday Night Fever' also based around the 70's.
This second image, is showing when the soundtrack stops in time with the match on action shot of Michael walking out of the telephone box, this is because in the next shot, there is diegetic sound to show Michael talking to the passer by.
In image 3, i used a time stretch to shrink down the length of the shot of the clock, this also enables the clock to look like its moving really fast and making time look like its going by faster.
In this last image, I just wanted to show the good use of mise-en-scene, as I actually filmed in a hospital, and so equipment was easy to get hold of, and this made the shot look more realistic.
